is it possible to extrude a complex 2d shape along a rectangle path. I have to put a complex mould around a panel.
    Please help.

Depending on what you need for an end result there are diferent methods.
If you want to actually have the molding curved around the sharp corner of
the cabinet you need to extrude the complex 2d shape and place down each
side. The relove the shape 90 dgrees and place at the corners.
If you have some traditional molding you need to extrude it to a length
longer than the sides and slice the extruded solid with a 45 degree miter in
    each corner.
There are many methods to accomplish the same thing.

    Thanks Chas.

That is the one I am using at the moment.
Is there a faster one and yes mould must curve around the sharp corners. I have hundreds of panels to do. Please help again!

One way that is a little faster is to draw a line around the panel from the
midpoint of one side around to the opposing midpoint. Fillet the corners of
the line at .01 or some small increment (This will force the profile to
sweep around the corner for the rounded edge, if you leave it square it will
still extrude it will just give you the mitered look). Align the 2D profile
at the endpoint and extrude along the path. Then mirror the trim to the
    opposing side.
