Changing "North" direction

I am using 2D AutoCAD and am given lines drawn at angles according to Surveyor's units. (N50dW), for example. The North direction is pointing to the left at an unspecified angle. The only thing that hints at what the angle is a line that is parllel to it which says S00d03'14"E but I still cannot figure out how to know what the angle for the north direction is without being explicitly told.
