Could anyone from autodesk update us all on the status of a 3dsout command for later autocad versions.

FBX isn't very useful

quite annoying when they make this seemingly political decisions trying to shepard you one way and then have to retract,  just ends up stuffing the user around and wasting our time.

None of the notes actually mention 2009 either.

Since 2009 is in the same DWG format as 2007 and 2008 listed above it should work in R2009 as well.

Why would Autodesk not release this for newer versions of autocad?  I have Autocad 2011 and I need to export as 3ds.  Can anyone tell me the reasoning behind them doing this?
