Setting the REAL default folder.

Please help me with the following:

I'm using Windows 7 and AutoCAD Mechanical 2012 (ACM) at 64 bit:

I have set a "workspace" folder in the root of all our CAD machines and basically use it as a temp folder for anything AutoCAD. To do so I have set it as "Automatic Save Location", "Temporary Drawing file location", "Log file location" etc. All actual temp files and log files etc do appear there. (except where noted below)

But when I do a QNEW, and check through

( setq Path ( vla-get-path ( vla-get-activedocument ( vlax-get-acad-object ) ) ) )

I still get C:\\Users\\alexanderz\\Documents (I my own case that is, obviously other users would get theirs)

And when I do a SAVE on this QNEW drawing, I get put into the folder of the last opened file - not the workspace.

The "Drawing(x).dwl" and ".dwl2" are put in that folder as well.

The icon location of ACM is "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCAD Mechanical 2012\UserDataCache\"

I am obviously missing something or some place to put the actual, real, overriding, temporary/default location of files. Please, any suggestions?
