Point in region or polyline

Is there a way to identify if a point is within the boundary of a region or a closed polyline and to identify which region or closed polyline the point is within?

What seems like it should be very doable has boondoggled me.

Thank you,
Edward

This will if a point is inside a selected polyline.

This looks like it might put me on the right track. Though my goal is that the program will test all of the closed polylines (on a certain layer) to see which one(s), if any, the point will be within.

I'm guessing the code can be modified to do this.

Thank you,
Edward

Search the newsgroup. There have been several discussions. Search on inside, for instance.
