Not as far is I know.
The trick we use is as follow.
Create a pline (or rectang) for each part you want to clip.
Now draw lines or rectangs that have very little spacing (1mm) between
the objects created before.
Trim it all off and make one big Pline of it, now use xclip-object.
Autocad wil now see the entire object as a clipping boundary.

Jan

Yes.

Just attach it more than once.

When you xclip the xrefs, it keeps the size of the drawing down so locking
up (?) should not be a problem.

Just remember to rename the xref before you attach it again.

DO NOT re-attach the xref, simply COPY it once it's in the drawing. That
way it's just like a copy of a block. If you re-attach it (renaming each
one) you will cause AutoCAD to reload EACH COPY of the xref every time you
regen. Simply copy the xref (to the same location) and xclip each one.

Hope this helps!

The best way I have found that keeps the multiple clips in their
original spatial relationship to each other, is to copy the xref once
for each clip, run XCLIP for each clipped area, then make a block of the
clips. Not ideal, but you don't have to create super-thin connecting
bridges between the parts of the xref that you want to show.

hi Bill, out of curiosity why do you make a block out of the multiple
XClips? I do a lot of multiple XClipping and have always just left them
as separate objects. I'm wondering if there is some advantage to
blocking them?

Hi riznasp

The other option is from the posting you already commented on:

1.Initial Xclip around the part of your xref you want to xclip.

2. copy the xref you just clipped and place it where you want.

3. click on the xref you just copied.

4. drag the pickboxes around the New area you want to clip.

5. Repeat the steps to clip other areas.
