KENT COOPER - CALLING KENT COOPER

Kent,

Sorry to call on you personally, but you are the man.

I have an issue that I hope you can help me with:

Whenever I open a dwg, for some reason, acad is writing the attached file to the dwg location. I previously don't have an acaddoc.lsp and use bespoke files.

As far as I can tell the file instructs itself to write it's self to the location and close the blank dwg created from the dwt.

I am under enormous pressure with deadlines, don't know enough how too and cannot find the source or rectify this.

Please can you help?

Regards,

Boba.

The file you attached does indeed contain the ALS.BURSTED.B virus.

I don't consider myself "the man" where this kind of thing is concerned, and I don't have any better ideas than have already been suggested.  At least one thread from not long ago, that you can find by searching for 'virus', is specifically about mysterious files being created, but as I recall, the conclusion was that it was being caused by a virus, so it may not offer any better solutions than finding and removing that.
