Excel Data to Variables

I need to access data from an Excel file and assign to variables in Lisp.
Does anyone have a simple routine to do this that I can build off of?
Most of my Lisp knowledge is pre-R14. much has changed and I need to upgrade some of my programs. The ones that access data files don't connect anymore.
Help!
Dave

He means to search here in the Customization/Lisp group for past
messages that meet your topic.

At http://discussion.autodesk.com/ you can search the newsgroups
for previously posted questions. To isolate the search to the
area that includes Lisp, use
http://discussion.autodesk.com/WebX?14@@.ee77aa7.

Put keywords in the blank box and then chose search for "last 3
days, last 2 weeks, last 3 months or all". Search will bring up a
list of newsgroup messages matching the text you provide in the
search box. By using the Autodesk server search engine you will
be searching all available messages not just those on your local
newsgroup cache.

Put in the specific words as the search words and chose All for
the time length of the search. Clicking on an individual topic
listed in the search findings will spread out the messages in
that topic in a tree formation. The topics are listed by date
with the newest date at the top.

Hope this helps you in future questions.
