Equal divided spaces between fit points. How?

Hello Everyone,
I'm in the process of testing routines that create a mesh from a boat design program for AutoCAD users I've written for another CAD program. The routines are plain vanilla AutoLISP macros and there are other files explaining all this included with the macros as a .zip file that can be downloaded from:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/boatdesign/files/Hulls%20to%20CAD%20intiative/boatme.zip

In the attached .jpg to this post, you can see the problem that occurs in my routine during the ACAD trial (I'm trying this out on the Online 2004 demo. On the trial, the PEDIT FIT option doesn't reproduce the equal spacing in its positioning of the polyline knots (vertices). I would like to know if there's a built in set of procedures or a custom routine to equally divide the vertex fit spacing.

Thanks in advance,
BobbyG
