Autocad to excel in autocad 2005?

hi,

At work we need to get text from our title blocks and into a master excel spreadsheet for each job.

we are currently using a tendious technique of extracting the attibutes into a text file then copying that into a master text file and then importing THAT into excel.

can anyone help me find a better way of getting text from autocad 2005 into excel spread sheets?
