As in solid edge(software).does autocad support parameterpassing...so that if I change the size of one portion of the drawing by passing parameter from outside ..say by using visual basic or by autolisp routine the changes should be reflected to the remaining drawing

AutoCAD is not parametric, you should
look at Mechanical Desktop.
