how to split a polyline at its self intersection points

hi,

I'm trying to split a polyline that have some intersection points at its intersection points. So, if a polyline have two self intersection point, then it will become three different polyline. I attached an example of a polyline that I want to split. I wonder, does the get split curve method can help me to do this ? or any other idea how can I do this ?

thanks

use the break at point command(_break) select the poly line. then select the intersection and it will break into diferent poly lines. try it with your sample. BUT this will not work with open poly lines. they have to be closed.

I already tried that in autocad, but somehow the result was strange. I attached the result here, so you can see that when I selected the first self intersection point from left, the polyline become three different segment. What I want is when I selected that intersection point, the first triangle from the left will break into different poyline. any ide why did this happen ?

thank you
