Does Autodesk have classes or training for VBA? I
have looked everywhere and I can only find training for AutoLisp and even that
seems to be limited to introductory training.

How did some of you people learn to use VBA?

Before attempting to learn VBA for AutoCAD, you might want to first learn
just plain VB. Most community colleges should have a course on that.
Once you know how VB works and is structured, learning to program AutoCAD
in VBA is a piece of cake.

As for Autodesk classes, I'm not sure. I teach some LISP courses for a
local reseller and have been asked about VBA classes but as of yet, I
haven't put any course material togeter. Have you look at the on-line
learning courses? Might be an AutoCAD VBA class or two in there.

There's book on Autodesk Press's web site by Andrew Roe is pretty good
for beginners. I talked and met him on a few occasions and he's a pretty
nice guy. He has a lot of technical writing experiance which should make
the book easier to understand.

I don't know of any classes, but you might give Joe Sutphin's book a try. If you
search this group for his posts, you'll find a link complete with ISBN number.

Can you explain your needs? A small application. I will write (and post on Autodesk discussion group) an application alongwith explanatory notes for your reference. I am dead sure, it will be good priming for you and you will be self propelled in VBA.
