VBA vs. Lisp? Opinions..

I am new to customizing ACAD, and would like to know the benefits and drawbacks of VBA and LISP.
Please give me your opinion on which is better and why.
Thank you,

If you've never done any AutoCAD programming, try VB first. It can do just
about everything that LISP can do, but it's a lot easier to learn, debug &
add dialogs to. IMHO, or course.

My friend and distinguished colleague Bill Kramer has a nice little article on this subject in the July issue of Cadence. You should check it out.
