Slow AutoCAD performance when vba loaded

I have trouble running my VBA project over a particular dwg file. This
drawing contains custom ObjectArx objects, created by application not
available on my computer.Without the VBA loaded everything works fine, but
after loading the project the AutoCAD 2006 performance degrades vastly
(zooming, sellecting etc.). It is not a bug in my project. AutoCAD slows
down immediately after loading the VBA system (arx load AcVba.arx) without
any VBA projects loaded...
Any thoughts ?

Thanks in advance !

I have the same problem.
I supose it is a memory problem.
I have 516 Mb RAM only and Window XP SP2 home edition.
What is your PC configuration?

Intel Core2Duo, WinXP SP2, 2GB RAM, the dwg file is about 2MB... It
definitely is not a memory problem...

It doesn't sound a like a computer problem, but probally a software problem. Try to reinstall autocad and see if that worked. Either that or you may have too much items open in the background.

Already done - no difference 😞
Maybe it is better to attach the file for testing, but the compressed zip is
about 2 MB... and I know that it is not a good practice to upload large
files to a newsgroup...

They enforce a 1.5 MB limit on attachments. See Ground Rules link upper left of webpage.

Do you have the same problem without any custom objects?
