In AutoCAD 2000/2002, there was a limitaton to the number of users that
could access a DVB file on the network, it was 20 at one time. I was under
the impression that this changed with 2004, that there was not a limitation
on the number of users, so I moved all of my DVB's to the network. However
today, I am getting a "Failed to Load" on my acad.dvb file. I checked the
server, 20 users have it open. I know I can move the dvb's down to the
workstations if I have to put it is a pain. Anyone else have this issue?
I've never had the problem, as the users of the routines i've done all run it off there c:drive. These routines are updated by a script (if required) when each user logs into our network, so I only have to manage the main copy of each file on the server. Everything else updates as required. Even though this is only a work around solution it would seem to avoid your problem.
