We have a material that is measured in our BOM by the square feet currently. We create an ipt file and place reference dimensions to calculate the square footage in a user parameter to be exported to the drawing. This method is time consuming and there is the possibility for human error. I am sure it would be possible to write a VBA macro to do this. I do have VBA experience I am just not sure about the Inventor 2008 side of it. Any input?
