Hi all Many developers, including myself want to reference Vault API in a Asp.Net Core 6.0 projects or other .NET 6 projects. When will the Autodesk Vault API support .NET6, Asp.Net Core 6.0, .NET Standard? To add some context: It is not possible to use the Vault API inside a Asp.Net Core 6.0 web application/API. As for web, microsoft recommends using .NET6 in all web applications and modern desktop applications as .NET6 continues to evolve and .NET48 stopped inproving. As the microsoft world is shifting to .netstandard, Asp.Net Core 6.0 and.NET6 Autodesk Vault developer are having difficulties filling the needs from companies to build Web API's and Web Application connecting to the Vault using the provided Vault API which is now only possible with .NET48, limiting our options a lot, not being able to use modern technology, practices, recommendations, old libraries and in the end being stuck with old technology. Reasons why we need support for .NET6, NET standard: - Many popular nugets already support and are even moved completely to .NET6 and stopped supporting NET48. - NET6, NET standard.. will continue to grow and have new functionality. - The full .Net Framework will always be supported by Microsoft but stopped innovating. - Performance and scalability - Cross-platform support, .. for example creating a app on android to communicate with Vault, using the Vault API is not possible. The correct way would be building a Web API that returns info from Vault. Microsoft recommends running Asp.Net Core 6.0. Best Regards
