Being able to see a water mark is very useful (i.e. IN-WORK, RELEASED etc.). While not essential it none-the-less would play a practical role in ensureing someone doesn't misinterpret a WIP drawing for a released drawing.
From what I can tell watermarks are only applied to DWF files if Items are being used. We don't use the items feature in Vault. It would be useful to us if we had the option to watermark our files based on lifecycle state even though we don't make use of the Items feature in vault.
I would like to be able to watermark dwfs on files with the status.
We don't use items.
I would like to know the printout is the actual file checked into the server, not a copy that has been edited out of turn on the local working copy with the released status still mapped.
Waterwarking the dwf for files would allow us to remove the status map from the inventor border and rely on vault to show the status in dwf.
