Description

This feature doesn’t work with Buzzsaw in a way which produces a smooth workflow. The problem being that when a file is Shared to Buzzsaw, there is no way to send off an email notification from Buzzsaw at the same time. This means that the user then has to log into Buzzsaw or an email client and do the email notification manually.

Impact

Double work is required for a workflow which should be able to allow for this in a single step. At the moment it is best if the user uploads the files directly to Buzzsaw and send the email notification at the same time. This is not ideal, but currently it provides a more efficient workflow.

Solution

Force Buzzsaw to prompt for the email notification dialog at the time of sharing the file/s.

Buzzsaw users can setup e-mail notifications by folder so that when files change they are e-mailed immediately or can be sent a summary e-mail or daily changes.

The problem with that is that not all users are aware of this feature, and that it needs to be set up in order for it to be effective. The user sending the files, needs full control over notification requests for recipients.
