Accept non unique file name in specific folders

We are using Enforce Unique File names , but it god be good to have a feature
To select folders make a list. where Accept non unique file name. The reason for this is that we have
Our Inventor designdata /template and other program settings in xml files etc.. We have 3 site setup with replication. But we have 3 different inventor design data setup for imperial and metric.

Or...even better in my opinion...base the enforcement of unique filenames on the file (or folder) category.  In this way, the category behaviors can be configured, etc.

A lot of consulting companies end up with all sorts of files from various clients and vendors.  Client 'A' might have a file called 'Site Plan.dwg'...and so might client 'B'.  Yet neither client wants you to mess with their file naming scheme.

It would be nice to load these files into the Vault under a different category, but retain the 'enforce unique filenames' option for the natively produced categories of files.

You could also set up rules to automatically categorize files and folders based on key phrases like 'Client Files' or 'Reference'.

I would like to add that being able to control 'enforce unique file names' by folder would help where Plant 3D projects are being Vaulted. Each Plant 3D project has files with the same name (even within a single project). Having the ability to control by subfolder or by category would be a big help in a multi-discipline Vault.

If I want to manage AutoCAD, Inventor and Plant3D data in the same Vault, I cannot enforce unique file names because of how Plant3D works. It creates several .xml files which are having the same name in every Plant3D project. These kind of 'small' things are making it hard to implement. Same applies for example if Design Data (of multiple Inventor releases) and/or templates are stored in Vault. Expanding the 'Enforce Unique File Names' capability with an 'exclusion' list (.xml, .jpg, .dat, etc) could be a 'simple' approach.

same issue overhere with implementing environments with part Inventor en part Plant3D, with Inventor you want unique filenames, Plant3D has a problem with that.

If there is no way for Vault to enforce unique file names in only the workspace and not the entire vault, that would be a good improvement as well.
