My company is upgrading software and hardware.
We are upgrading from vault 2009 which inherantly comes with the "Windows authentication" login feature and active directory integration.
It looks like in 2014 this feature is only included with the "professional" license?
What happens if you have one license of professional, import all of the domain users and groups? This would mean that all of the basic licenses (included with Inventor) will not be able to log in using "windows authentication" namely their active directory account?
I'm just trying to understand the licensing and how all of this works.
If you are on Vault 2009 with Windows Authentication you should be running Vault 2009 "Productstream" which is equivalent to Vault Professional today.
Can you confirm that is what you are currently using?
That is correct. We have productstream 2009.
My question is, is it possible to set up the active directory integration with Vault by purchasing one license of Vault Professional?
Thanks

Nor can you downgrade a Productstream server down to a Basic server. All your clients must be upgraded to Professional.
