"Could not publish visualization file ..." error upon check-in.

Howdy,

Occasionally we receive a "Could not publish visualization file " (see attached) errors upon checking in files into productstream from AutoCAD Mechanical 2009 (had this problem with older version of mechanical as well). This happens on all of our computers from time to time. We've ignored this error for some time now, but we're now finding a use for the DWF files.

We've defined layouts and have been able to 'Publish" dwf files manually.

It doesn't appear to generate any log files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

- Jeff

Hi Jeff,

If you could post the dwg that could not publish during Check In, then i will try to identify the issue. Alternatively, log this issue with the product support.

Hi Jeff,

If publishing dwf while checking in does not work, you may try to update view with Vault client. Just select the file in Vault client and click Actions menu->Update View. This will generate dwf for files that are checked in to Vault.

Thanks,
Carol
