padlock icon on released files

Using Vault 2013 Pro; I have a handful of details that do not get a padlock icon when they are set to released state.

The project in question has 25 details, all of which are in "Released" state, but 6 of them will not identify with a padlock icon.  It acts & appears that way on multiple computers.

Any ideas?

I am unsure what you mean by "details".  Are files using "Item Lifecyles" or "File Lifecycles via categories"?  If they are using File Lifecycles, are all the files assigned to the same category?

Jim,

the 'details' that I'm talking about are parts that were entered into vault.

it was a wierd situation, b/c I set the files to 'Quick-Change' and the reset them to 'Released' and the padlock icons appeared.  I don't know why they showed differently before but it seems to be OK now.

Thanks for the quick response.

A file can get an ACL from several locations.

Folder

Lifecycle Override (State ACL)

Item Lifecycle Override (Released Item)

Manual Overide

All of the Overrides (meaning not from a folder) is "last one wins" scenerio.

If the file had the ACL changed after being set to a state, it could cause the scenerio you described.

Mikel,

That would explain a few things.  Thank you for the response.
