Working on more than one projects simultaneously.

Hi,

Our designers have to work on more than one project at a time. It is not very attractive for them to check in one project than check out the other, then check it in and check outthe first one again. They want to leave all the WIP projects to stay open.

We are using Vault 2012 basic.

Is it possible at all?

If yes, how?

Please guide me.

Maybe launch (2) separate Inventor sessions, each with it's own project?

Is it the .ipj that's keeping you from working on multiple projects at the same time? If so we learned a long time ago to create .ipj files to be generic enough to allow us to work on anything all simultaneously without occupying multiple licenses. You do have to locate the .ipj file in the folder structure to allow for this.
