Why different Vault clients?

Why is it necessary to have so many different editions of the Vault Client itself (Basic, Workgroup, Professional)?

Why not simply let the edition of the vault server reflect the available functionality on the client?

If you look at the comparisons between them you will see that they each offer different functionalities and features.

Not every one needs what pro offers and want to pay the price.  Itis just a matter of what your companies budget is and what the needs are and which one fits the bill.
