Vault Server 2012 on VMware?

Hi,

Is anyone running Vault Server 2012 on VMware?  Any comments welcome.

Thanks.

Bob

Hi Bob,

I've got a handful of VM environments that I use for testing.  I am running VMWare 7.1.5 - typically each VM I assign 2 cores and 4096 MB of memory - though it sometimes varies.

We have several customers running Vault on ESX-server.

One of the goals of virtualization is to avoid having "100 servers with 1% CPU load". As ADMS/SQL are IO/CPU-intensive tasks, virtualizing the ADMS-server will have an impact on performance.

I work for a reseller so I do a lot of Vault demos.

I am running VMware Workstation Version 8.0.1. on my laptop.

I have allocated 1 processor and 1 core, and 2Gigs...with no issues.

I am the only user accessing my vaults. (Vanilla Vault, Vault Collab AEC, Vault Prof)
