Vault Professional 2014 compatible with 2012 suite of Autocad

Does Vault Professional 2014 integrate with AutoCAD 2012 and other older versions of AutoCAD such as MEP, Electrical aas well as 2013 versions like Plant3D and Civil3D?

If it does, is it a simple act of enabling the add-in for the ribbon the show?

Regards,

Christian

Hello,

if you have Vault Professinal Server 2014 you can still connect with Vault Pro 2012 and Vault Pro 2013 clents to the Vault Server.

In other words if you have ACAD2012 installed make sure you have Vault Client 2012 installed to get the ribbon.

Or with civil3D 2013 you need to have Vault Client 2013 installed etc.

And yes: you can have multiple versions of Vault client installed on one machine.

I hope this helped.

Hello Kevin

I'm guessing the same can be said of running Inventor 2013 with Vault Workgroup 2014.

Is there a way to have a 2014 vault client ribbon appear in Inventor 2013?

Regards

no you can't

you need to use the 2013 client to do that

the vault client has never been backwards compatibile

Hello Kevin,
I have installed Vault Pro 2014 and I want to connect to that server from Vault Client 2013. Based on your reply below, Vault Pro 2013 or 2012 can connect to a Vault Pro 2014. However, I'm trying to do this but this message is displayed: Server could not be found. I attach an image.
I found in others posts that Vault 2014 cannot install on Inventor 2013, therefore I already have installed Vault Pro Client 2013 to maintain that add-in.

I also remember that I could connect to Vault 2013 from Vault 2012.
Vault and Inventor have all latest available Service Pack and updates.
Thank you for your valuable help.

Hi Carlos,

the error message don´t indicate a version conflict.
It seems like that the connection to the Vault Server is broken.
First thing: see if you can ping the Server from this client and make sure Port 80 is not blocked through Firewall (Server and Client).
Also: try the IP adress instead of the Servername for the login.
