Searching by length & using ?-wildcard

I'm suffer issue while doing some searches in Vault Pro 2013.

Help informs us that "?" is a wildcard for "one symbol".

I'd like to do search by object lengths (number of characters).

Steps to reproduce issue:

1. Create couple Items with Numbers "1" and  "A".

2. Advance Serach "Number" "<" "??"

3. The expected results should contain both Items

...but in fact only "1" would be found.

Moreover if serch for "Number" ">" "??" the result wold be opposite - only "A".

The case in tech-support is open but they pretend to be a bit busy at the moment.

Hope to get some comment here.
