SQL Downgrade and Move

Current Environment: Vault Collaboration 2012, SQL Server 2008R2 Enterprise on local server. Due to SQL licensing costs, my company wants me to move our Vault databases to an existing remote SQL server running SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard and decommission the SQL Enterprise version. This scenario isn't covered in the Advanced Configuration Guide. What steps are involved to do this? Also, are there any ramifications downgrading the DBs from Enterprise to Standard?

Michael,

One way to try it out would be to create a test environment with the other edition of SQL 2008 R2 Standard.

Backup the production system and restore that backup to the test environment.

If SQL will allow the databases to be restored, you should be ok to proceed.
