Reports and Colors

Hello Everybody,

I have created multiple categories and have assigned to object inside of Vault Professional 2013.

I used default available File By Category.rdlc to generate a report. i assigned the color scheme to

the same as well. But for some reason. I am not able to get that color scheme to show up in the

report.

Am I missing some crucial step.

* BTW I am new to Vault Professional 2013

Thanks

Thanks Senthil,

I looked through the youtube video and tried Vault in CAD rdlc and was able to see the categories by color

and was able to map those as well to the model.

But when I try using File By Category rdlc which comes default with the installation it does not show the colors

I am not expecting it to map those colors to CAD but when I try generating a full report atleast I should be able to see

that colors on the bar chart, correct me if I am wrong

Please find the attached image and rdlc file attached

Please advise

Thanks for your reply and the files. Now I understand the issue. Rather confusion.

If you use "File By Category" report, the report comes with a chart showing Which Category is in What State. X- Axis Category and Y - Axis by State.

If you use " File by Life Cycle State" then it is opposite of the above. X by State and Y by Category.

So for your case "File by Life Cycle State" might help.

Being said for your case the best template without confusion is "Project Dashboard".

Hope the above helps. Please let me know if you need any further help/information.
