Publish all files to aseparate direcftory

Hi all,

Today we have add 40'000 files into the Vault with the task scheduler. We
have enable the dwf Attachments in a server path with the same structure of
the Vault.

Unfortunatly no DWF are published in this path !!

When I open a file in Inventor and make check out and check in the DWF is
published on the right place.

Why it does'nt work with the task scheduler ? (What user is used by the task
scheduler)

And now how can I plublish all the DWF ?

Thank's for your help.

Regards

Dom

Hi Dom,

Enable DWF Attachments in server settings does not ensure DWF files will be created by task schedule.

The designed workflow to add file with DWF in task schedule is:

1. Add the project to task schedule
2. If you'd like the file be added to Vault immediately, check "Immediately"
3. Click OK on task dialog, a "Check In Files" dialog will prompts
4. Click Settings button on the dialog, check "Create DWF Attachments"

The setting in step4 will decide whether DWF file will be published while adding files by task schedule.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Carol

I've had the exactly the same problem with a customer, the task scheduler (2010) does not publish the DWF files to the defined path.

I've found a workaround to publish DWF files for an entire Vault:

Check out all files (or the files that needs DWFs)
Check in all files with task scheduler, enable DWF publish

The DWF-files are now added to the Vault as hidden files.

Show hidden files in vault
Search for all .DWF files
Select all the files in the search result and "Get Latest Version"
Change the target path to the DWF folder location

Problem solved! 🙂
