Parts List

Working with Vault and Inventor bill of materials. The problem I'm having is with units of measure.

The default is set to Each for the units of measure. How can I change this to accept feet or inches?

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you,

Tiger

Are you working in Inventor to create this BOM from an assembly?  Or are you creating this BOM in Vault's Item Master?  Can you post a screen shot of what you are trying to change?

Yes, I'm working in Inventor creating from an assembly.
What I would like to do is convert an item/items from each to ft.
And do it so it will automatically make the updates.
Thanks,
Tiger

I've attached a PDF of my bill of material I'm working with.

Items 4, 5 & 7 should have a unit of measure in feet. These items

will change in different bill of materials.

How do I make the adjustment so when brought into my

BoM Inventor will distinguish the difference?

Hope I haven't confused you and Thanks for your help.

Are you using the attach button below?  Because there is still no file attached to your posts.

I suspect that you are looking at Unit Qty which is set to Each.  If your Base Unit is set to feet, then Base Qty will show the quantity as feet.  use the Choose Columns button in BOM editor and look at Base Unit and Base Qty.
