Migration Error ‘9.0.21’ to version ’18.0.6’

Hi ,

I was reading book from Ascent :

Autodesk Vault 2013 -  Data Management for Autodesk Inventor Users ( Student Guide Rev 1.0 )

On this book  I need to attach the ‘vault_Training.mdf’  File to ADMS, but error message appeared.

The message said That Database Migration from version ‘9.0.21’ to version ’18.0.6’  are not supported.

I am using Vault Basic Client 2014 and Vault Basic Server 2014 on my notebook.

Could somebody help me what to do?

Best Regards,

Haisin Rusli

It would appear that dataset was created with the 2011 release of Vault.

You can only migrate two releases forward so you will need 2013 (or 2012) in order to restore that dataset. From there you can migrate to 2014.
