Invalid URI. A Dos path must be rooted.

What the heck does this mean.

See attached file.

I am trying to drag and drop an file into my parts library. I was able to drag it out fine, edit it, checked it back in, and now it will not move back to the library.

Help

Using 2009.

Try to remove that ipj from the temp folder in Vault, it may be interfering
with the redirection and drag and drop action. If you are trying to modify
library files in Vault, keep them in the folder they belong in and create an
Inventor ipj just for Library editing. This should be located right in the
Vault Library folder, and have the workspace set to "." so that the files
within are seen by Inventor as non-library components. Activate this ipj
only when you need to modify Library files.

Removing the temp.ipj did not fix the error.

Any more suggestions?

Without any more information, I suggest logging a support call with your
reseller or Autodesk.

What other information would you like?

There are a number of factors that need to be looked at to determine first
the cause, then the fix. In the mean time, in order to get back on track,
you can check a copy of this file back in to the Library folder. Then use
the Replace command in Vault to swap the ipt in the Temp folder with the one
in the Library folder. Please move forward with submitting this to a support
center though, then we can address it.
As a best practice moving forward, do not move files into other folders
simply to work on them. This causes a lot at least two additional
unnecessary versions just to edit library parts. Instead, from my earlier
post, create a "Library Edit" .ipj in the Vault library folder just for
these cases where you need to modify Library parts.

Thanks for the info, I will add the "Library Edit Folder", and log a suopport call.
