IIS configuration settings for remote Web site access for vault thin client

Need help for settings in IIS settings for thin client external access.

Can someone please give me correct settings so a user can exterally have access to the thin client without vpn access.

Hi KopexWaratah,

thank you for engagin with us on the forums.

Unfortunately this is nothing we can guide you through, because IIS is already configured alright.

You need to make that request to your IT Department, so they make port 80 (or better port 8080 - HTTPS - setup instructions here) available to the outside world.

Still they will have security concerns to expose the server to the outside world, because you open the door to your company network.

Therefore DMZ (wiki link) exist.

Best way would be to have some security layer in between, like citrix where the external partner would have internet explorer or a desktop published and can access the data.

I would talk to your IT Department to figure out the best way to make this happen.
