How do we set the Web Client to open files with Design Review only?

Recently upgraded to Vault Pro 2013.  We have Autocad and Inventor drawings stored in the Vault.  Our field engineers and sales personel using the Vault Web Client would like to view files with Design Review exclusively as this allows them to red-line mark ups.  Some files open with Design Review and some with True View.  It appears random.  Is there a setting for opening with Design Review only?  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I can't find any way to set that as a default, but what I've seen is that DWG's open in Tru View and IDW's open in Design Review.  Not sure if this is always the case, but that's what mine do.

Once the Tru View is open though, users can right click and choose "Open in DWF Application".  This will open the file in Design Review.

Thanks CB - the thing that I question is that the users with the problems dont have any cad software on their machines -just design review & true view (which is a part of design review).  We are generating dwf's & dwfx's from our .dwg files.  Autodesk sez:  If the drawing has any type of visualization file (dwf - dwfx) opening the dwg thru the Vault Web Client will automatically open the dwf of dwfx - which should open in design review.  Maybe its the Autocad dwf's opening in true view while the Inventor dwfx'x open in design review.  I will have to test this.

Has anyone tried the Windows settings for .dwf & .dwfx files to open with design review?  Will this damage the way Vault Web Client handles these files?  I just want all dwf & dwfx files to open with design review not true view.

Is it prompting to download the file at all?

A DWF/DWFx should always open in Design Review if one is available with once exception.  If the user attempting to open the DWF/DWFx does not have rights to the DWF then it will try to download the original drwaing which would open in TrueView.

Make sure you DWFs are not in a category being managed by a lifecycle process and getting security applied to them.

I know we have not enabled the lifecycles yet (although we plan to).  I dont understand the security option though.  How would these have security applied?  Do you mean read only?  Thanks for the reply.
