Error in Vault Client 2011 when copy, rename and move

Hello,

i have a problem with one Workstation: If i want to copy, rename or move an Inventor file, i get the error message "Falscher Parameter." (in englisch wrong parameter).

The other workstations dont have this problem.

The System:

Windows7 x64 without SP1

Vault Workgroup 2011

german

What i have tested:

- deinstall and install new the Vault client with servicepacks and hotfixes

- deinstall and install the DotNet-Framework v4 and v3.5.1

- log-in as an other user

=> nothing was successful

Has anybody an idea or a solution?

Thanks!

Best regards

Michael

Hi,

Could you please check the following to see if they help you solve the issue with Move / Rename?

> Ensure you have Vault 2011 SP2 is installed

> Ensure C:\Temp is NOT Readonly

> Ensure Inventor Project Shortcut folder is NOT Readonly. Usually %UserProfile%\My Documents\Inventor

Hello,

Thanks for your answer.

But i'm sorry. This morning i load back the backup-image. I had no choice because i have to work with it.

To your questions:

- Yes, Vault SP2 was installed.

- Yes i think that i had the right permissions to c:\Temp and the profile.

Thanks for your update.

Do you still see the error with Move and Rename commands?

If that is the case I would recommend you to log a Support Request and someone from the Support team will help you.

I am sorry that I am not able to help you much here.

Hello,

this was the solution. Thanks.

We had this problem, too: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Inventor/Inventor-2011-not-loading-project-file/td-p/2709075

So my autodesk-dealer talked to me to set the project shortcut read-only. But first i don't remembered to this.
