Custom iProperty value range

I want to enter a custom iproperty which shows the internal and external value of a seal i.e. a seal with an ID of 300mm and an OD of 315mm. Could the iproperty be entered as?

300,315

300-315

300:315

the next step is to search and find the gaps in the seal range (the seals are made in a mould & some moulds have land left  which could be reused) ie find all the moulds which have no seals with an OD < 350 or an ID> 400

The search then returns a mould which has no seal at that size - allowing a new groove to be machined into the mould for the seal at the new size of ID370 OD380

Regards

Hey Mark,

In order to create an advanced find criteria that will find greater than / less than you will likely need to have two separate custom properties OD and ID.  The combines field depending on your separator would be considered a large number or text and would not be searchable for your intended use.

Hope this helps
