We've been using Vault for a few years now, but no one has ever paid attention to exactly how we've set up Content Center in our Inventor Application Options. I just noticed that we have a mixture of setups: some have the Content Center Access Options set to "Inventor Desktop Content." Others have it set to "Autodesk Vault Server." We're currently running Inventor 2011 with Vault 2011.
Does it matter which way this is set up in a multi-user environment? Could our mixture of setups cause any issues?
If all the users are using vault, it is probably better practice to use the Autodesk vault server..but if you don't have any custom CC parts, I don't think it matters much.
Once the CC parts are generated, they are getting checked into the vault anyway for all to acccess.
