Are there any know issues with using a Veritas SQL backup agent and backing
up the filestore and not using the scheduled task command line backup
method?

You need to make sure that the databases and the filestores are backed
up together. Otherwise, you run the risk of integrity problems if they
get out of synch.

That said, it should be possible to use alternative means to handle the
backups. Of course, the Vault Manager backup mechanism takes care of
this for you.

Also - make sure that you do not backup the database live - which is
what veritas can do.

If you do this, you run the risk of hte files in the file store not
matching the SQL meta data. This would end up causing issues with your
backup set.

i would stop IIS (IISRESET /STOP) via a startup scrip before you backup
- that way users will be booted off and they won't be able to make
changes to the vault.

check the follow guide at the end... there is a little information on it.
