Automatic Vault Syncronization

We are having to update the properties from vault to get the newly checkout drawing file to update to the correct revision.

Also having to in the vault syncronize the properties for certain files.

What I would like to know is if there is a setting that does this automatically so less of this extra button selections don't have to take place.

Thanks

Anyone have any thoughts on this?  Is this even possible?

Or is this a pipe dream.

Hi Scott,

Did you setup property mapping of Vault 'Revision' with Inventor file property (or revision Table)? In this case, the auto-sync is possible driven by job defined in State transition.

e.g. you can enable option 'sync properties using job server' on Released -> Work In progress transition. When a file in Released (Revision A) was changed state WIP (RevisionB), thus update property job will be executed by job processor, so Inventor file be updated. see wiki help

Note, it's available for revision bump due to state transition, but not for revision increased by Revise command

Fay,

We met as a vault team (including our IT dept) yesterday along with our Imaginit representative and it was determined

that we would just deal with the inconvenience of the extra button selections of the update properties

in the vault tab and the synchronize properties in the vault client.

Setting up a job server was not a better way to go for the hassle involved.
