Hi,
After anyone's advice that can possibly contribute here.........
Our business is within the small - medium size bracket, were currently running Inventor Pro 2013 and Vault Pro 2013, our whole design legacy is stored within Vault along with all our project files (datasheets, documents etc).
Currently we have a very old hat ERP / MRP system called Emax, this is currently up for review and were looking to change. After being shown PLM 360 recently by Autodesk we were very impressed but were clearly told it's not an MRP / ERP system and never will be, it's more for the front end of the business.
My question is who's using an MRP / ERP either direct with Vault or with PLM in the middle that works well? Were after something that can link with Vault as currently using Emax were having to duplicate BOM's etc and it's all manual, there is no link what so ever.
Any advice will be apprecaited.
Regards,
Chris.
Hi, Chris!
There are three ways to collaborate with ERP:
1. Manually import/export through CSV, TLD, DWF (where EDM data packed in) or XML file, using "ERP import/export" tool.
2. Through Microsoft Message Queuing.
3. Using Vault API and connecting to Vault and retrieving BOMs from ERP with plug-ins.
Kind regards, Dmitry.
