Auto Numbering, Assemblies have same number as the first part within assembly

Hi

I'm attempting to turn on Vault's auto numbering system. We have the same structure to our part file names as our assemblies.

eg.

ATL-01-2345_000.iam     &   ATL-01-2345-001.ipt

After I've copy designed an assembly I rename the files using the numbering scheme. The last 3 digits are the autogenerated section.

Vault however is assigning the the '000' number to both the assembly and the first part of the assembly. This would cause alot of problmes in our factory.

Is there a way to get it to name all the files differently, regardless of if it's an assembly or a part?

Thanks

I am not able to reproduce the issue. I see different number for the assembly and part. Is there anyway you can share the assembly with me? You can send it to senthilDOTkumarATautodeskDOTcom

Thanks!
