ADMS 2014 and Client 2013

I would like to upgrade the ADMS to 2014.  Will this work if the clients are still on Vault 2013?

 

In the Vault 2014 readme, it says...:

 

The Vault 2014 ADMS supports the use of any Vault 2012 release and Vault 2013
release clients which match the Vault edition of ADMS.

 

Not sure what the "Vault edition of ADMS" means here.

it means vault basic client 2013 to vault basic server 2014, or vault pro client 2013  to vault pro server 2014

does that make sense?

I got it now.. so it sounds like ADMS 2014 will work with my 2013 clients (all are on Basic Vault).

yes you just won't get any of the new 2014 features

Yes, thats understandable.  But at least when the clients get upgraded to 2014, it will be good-to-go.  It makes it more managable to do it this way.
