I've just installed a fresh new copy of Vault 2014 and updated it to SP1 > Sub Rel 1 & went to install Sub Rel 1 SP 1 (not confusing at all incidentally).
But I get the following error:
There are no pre-requisites of build numbers in the Readme file, so I'm not entirely clear on the update path. (Why are there still no build/version numbers in the Readme's? It's crazy.)
Anyway this is the current built & stage I have my ADMS at:

Scott,
I am little confused. From the ADMS - About info I see that you already have SP1 installed for Sub Rel 1.
18.101.3.0 - is the build number for Sub Rel 1 SP1. You can also see that Subscription Release 1 Update 1 is shown.
Anyway, regarding the error you get, this error comes up when you are not running the SP as Administrator. So RMB on the SP1 MSP and Run it as Administrator. That should solve the issue.
Let me know if you need any further help/info.
You're confused? I certainly am. So I've installed Vault Service Pack 1, then the Sub Rel 1.... now I've tried to install Sub Rel 1 SP1, but it tells me it's failed.
The Product info calls Sub Rel 1 SP1, Update 1 instead of Service Pack? This Cracking The Vault post calls it Sub Rel 1 SP2 in the Hyperlink name, but it's actually SP1... but does this Sub Rel 1 SP1 actually contain the same fixes as Vault Service Pack 2? So what is it really? A SP? or an Update? oooh gawwwd. Not very good Data Management from the Data Management team....
right back to the task at hand. Oddly, Run As Administrator isn't in the context menu, with or without holding down the Shift key:

Ok I used Shift+RMB to 'Copy As Path'. Then I ran the Command Prompt as Administrator, pasted in that path and ran it from there. It installed without error.
It ran for about 3 times the amount of time as it did previously. So it's a little worrying that the ADMS console is reporting that it's up to Update 1 for Sub Release 1, when it mustn't have had all of it's components installed.
Thanks for the Administrator tip.... why is it needed even if you have full admin rights?

Scott,
Thanks for your reply and glad to know that it did work. With Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 2012 we have to use this option to run any patches even though we have full admin rights.
Regarding the info in the Blog I have asked the PS team to change that. It should be Subscription Release 1 Service Pack 1.
And regarding the info in the about box I agree that it is not ideal and I will forward your comments to the team.
Subscription Release 1 Service Pack 1 will be shown as Subscription Release 1 Update 1 in the about box.
You can refer this page Vault Build Numbers for the build numbers.
Hope this helps.

YES. All the fixes that are gone in Vault 2014 SP2 are in Vault 2014 Sub Rel 1 SP1.
Hi Scott,
Where did you get the link to download? I've used the link from Cracking the Vault site, and it was broken:
It would lead me to this:
Tried searching the Autodesk download page as well, but couldnt find it.
We will be posting this Service Pack ( Vault 2014 Subscription Release SP1) in the subscription center soon. It is already in the process of posting.
well there you have it. It looks like the original location was a faux pas originally.

Scott,
Yes it is. Just the posting location is changed since this one is for only Subscription Release.
Hi Senthil,
It seems the Service Pack 1 for Subs Release 1 has gone AWOL from the subscription center. I can still see the actual Subs Release 1 download, so I dont think its an issue with my entitlements.
Can you confirm if this has been withdrawn, or misplaced?
Thanks!
Hi,
I still see the Sub Release 1 SP1 at http://subscription.autodesk.com/sp/servlet/download/item?siteID=11564774&id=22982844
Hi Senthil,
Thanks for the quick reply. Thats really strange - when I click on the link you provided, it gives me:
That's really strange indeed. Let me know if you want me to download and send it via FTP. I need your email ID for that. Please send me an email at senthilDOTkumarATautodeskDOTcom
Thanks.
