I am having a problem with ADMS Vault 2013 Pro where when I run a (re-index file properties) I see a number of files that say " the following files and file types failed to re-index" In the description of the file they say the file is corrupt.
Almost 90% of the failed files are .msg outlook emails, word and execle files. Only a few of the files are .PRT and ~$.
So far every file that I check has 100% no problem with them and they are not checked out. Does anybody else get this or know why they are reporting as corrupt when they are clearly not?

Hi mdellunto:
I just found I have the same issue. please ref: Microsoft Filter Pack for Vault server
I did not get "they said this is normal." and it was accedpted as solution.
Could you share more detail or solution?
Thank you,
Wes
Basicly from what I got out of it was Autodesk Vault does not index MS files.
Odd that this is such a problem for them to implement but at the same time my main worries was that the data it self was not being corrupted. Once they told the data really wasn't being corrupted I was happy and left the subject alone.
I did a few tests my self to make sure this was true. Every file that I tested that said corrupted seemed to be fine.
The main point of this post wasn't really to get the feature working but to make sure the Vault was not causing damage to the files.
I hope this helps.
Thank you so much for your time for reply.
So I think you don't have problem to index msg file in Vault which I have.
Now I still lost in the mist.
Thank you and have a nice weekend
Wes
