Working only from Inventor - Can't change state

Hi all,

In order to work in a right way we will recommend to our customer to work mainly in Inventor for opening file changing state, etc.

But there is a bug if you will to do that.

Here is a scenario:

- In a Vault you have a part with a drawing. The two are in a release state.

- In Inventor, open from Vault the part.

- Change the state to Work In Progress.

- Check-out, modify, check-in the part.

- Open the drawing.

- Try to change the state...... You can't because the IDW is dirty (*) and this blocks the change state command in Inventor...

The only workaround is to change the state of the drawing from Vault Explorer.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

Thanks for your answer. Any idea of when this hotfix will be available in 2013? One of our major customer need this fix in order to have a consistency workflow for the users.

I will open a support request in order to put more pressure on that.
