Vault permissions

We have recently upgraded to Vault Collaboration 2012.  The users are assigned Document Editor 1 Permissions.  In the past they could create a new folder in a project from within Civil 3D.  Now when they try to create a new folder from within C3D it gives them an error stating they do not have permission.  However, if they go into Vault Explorer they cna create a new folder.   Is this the correct behavior now?  Thank you.

Hello,

With Civil 3D 2012 and Vault Collaboration 2012 we introduced some new features (such as Civil icons on folders in Vault, etc.) that rely on certain properties on folders and files.  So operations such as Create Project and Create Folder require Doc Manager Level 1 (or Level 2) along with Doc Editor Level 1 (Level 2) roles so that properties that the new features rely on can be edited with the required values.  So please make that you add (in addition to Doc Editor Level 1 or 2) at least Doc Manager Level 1 to the user who is going to be either creating projects or adding folders in Vault from Civil 3D.

Thanks

Anil Chintamaneni (Autodesk)
