Vault Server 2012 on 64-bit PC

Can l Vault 2012 Pro Server be installed on a 64-bit system?  I'm guessing not, because I am getting this error message when I try:

"An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format"

Hi tmccar,

Vault Server 2012 can be installed on a 64-bit PC. Nonetheless, it will be installed as a 32-bit application.

To guide us in troubleshooting, it will be good if you could provide us with the following info:

i. the OS of the 64bit machnie

ii. the installation log file (could be found in folder %temp%, the latest log file)

Hi Chear

The OS is Windows 7 and it was installed in Denmark

When doing an install of SQL Server 2008 R2, it fails at the followig check:

:

"Performance counter registry hive consistency"

Try rebuilding your peformance coutners using the following:

  • Start -> Run
  • cmd.exe
  • cd C:\Windows\System32
  • lodctr /R

Once the performance counters are rebuilt, try the installation of SQL 2008 R2 again.

The SQL Server 2008 install was failing the "performance counter hive consistency" check.

The laptop is a localised Denmark build.

I exported the following regiatry key:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib\009

006 is the code for Denmark, so I edited this .reg file (changed the 009 to 006) re-imported it and the SQL installation .completed.
